Tom Gabe
President and CEO

With more than 30 years’ experience in petroleum distribution and environmental services, Tom Gabe founded Heritage Petroleum in 2002. He was previously the owner of Gabe’s Oil, Inc., which he began in 1977. In 1989 Gabe also formed Subsurface Technology (Sub-Tech), an environmental services and emergency spill response company servicing 33 states across the country; it was acquired by Koester Companies, Inc. in 1994. He served as Executive Vice President for Koester Companies from 1995 to 2000. Gabe holds a masters degree in business education and a bachelors degree in physical education from Indiana University.
Kevin Wilson
Vice President of Strategic Initiatives / Corporate Development

Kevin Wilson joined Heritage Petroleum in 2009 as Vice President of Strategic Initiatives / Corporate Development. In this role, he focuses on expanding the company through acquisitions, strategic alliances, partnerships, and other ventures. Wilson has over 25 years of experience in financial services, including financial planning, banking, consulting, financial analysis, accounting, consumer finance, and mergers and acquisitions. He holds a bachelors degree from the University of Evansville and a masters degree from the Eastman School of Music, Rochester, New York.
Randy Brack

Randy Brack joined Heritage Petroleum in the year of its founding, 2002. Brack has worked in accounting and finance for more than two decades. He holds an MBA from the University of Evansville and a bachelors degree in accounting from Indiana State University–Evansville.
Gene Wannemuehler
Chief Operating Officer

Gene Wannemuehler is a third-generation petroleum businessman, with 39 years in the refined petroleum wholesale industry. He graduated from the University of Evansville with a bachelors degree in small business and began his career as a driver with Wannemuehler Oil, of which he later became president. When Wannemuehler Oil was combined with Gabe’s Oil in 2002 to form Heritage Petroleum, Wannemeuhler became COO of the new entity.
Ken Willard
Director of Risk Management / Fuels Procurement

With Heritage Petroleum since 2004, Ken Willard is responsible for fuel purchasing, risk management, executing trades and derivatives for contracts, and managing supply barrels throughout the TEPPCO Pipeline system. Prior to joining Heritage Petroleum, he worked in development for the unbranded fuels division of Shell Oil Company. Willard's experience also includes 20 years in the grain industry, with Pillsbury and ConAgra.
Bryan T. Smith
Risk Management Analyst / Major Account Manager

Bryan Smith manages major accounts in Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, and Ohio. By implementing various buying programs and executing options and derivatives, he is constantly developing strategies for managing the volatility in today's market. Smith joined the company in 2002. He is a United States Air Force veteran with over 20 years’ experience in the oil business.
David J. Wannemuehler
Lubricants Manager

David J. Wannemuehler is responsible for sales, purchases, and delivery of lubricants for Heritage Petroleum. He has 25 years’ experience in the petroleum business.
Joe Kratochvil
Director of Information Technology

Joe Kratochvil joined Heritage Petroleum in 2008. He brings 10 years’ experience in the field of information technology. Joe has also served as an engineering consultant for Matrix Integration, a nationally recognized IT solutions provider, and as an independent technologies consultant.
